Treats for Norwich Terrier

Every owner loves his pet and, naturally, from time to time wants to pamper him, as well as something to distract him from the owner’s things.

Before and during the change of teeth, the puppy wants to chew on something. Therefore, the question arises of what can be given to a puppy without harming it. What treats can you give to a Norwich Terrier, and what should you absolutely not give to your dog?

What you should absolutely not feed your dog:

  • Boiled bones.
  • Fatty, fried, spicy, smoked.
  • Sweets, especially chocolate (this is poison for dogs), chewing gum..
  • Citrus and exotic fruits and berries (some types of fruits and berries can cause allergies).
  • Clarified freeze-dried ready-made treats (which have undergone deep chemical processing).
  • Jerky trachea purchased from a pet store (can be dangerous for a Norwich Terrier because a fragment can get stuck in the puppy's throat and cause choking).

What can you give a puppy or adult dog as a treat:

  • Dry or dried meat of duck, turkey, rabbit, lamb, which is sold at a pet store.
  • Dried tendons from animals purchased at a pet store. They shouldn't be small. Small pieces that the dog may swallow must be taken away from him.
  • Biscuits and biscuits made especially for dogs.
  • Healthy puppies and dogs can be treated to a small piece of apple, banana, or pear.
  • Cucumbers, zucchini, pumpkin, sweet peppers, all types of cabbage.

For training, it is better to use boiled meat, cut into small pieces. To maximize the effect of the treat, it should be given only as a reward for correctly executed commands.

If you have any doubts, it is better to consult a breeder or other specialist.
